Lenten Formation

St. Stephen's will be providing formation for adults and children on Wednesday evenings throughout the season of Lent.  Evening prayer will begin at 5:30 each Wednesday evening.  A potluck dinner will follow.  A group study will then be offered as we continue our preparation for the upcoming Easter season.

Prayer Shawl Ministry Pot Holders Delivered in Kenya

Pot holders made by the parish Prayer Shawl Ministry have been delivered to the people of Kenya by missionary Fr. Zach Drennen.  The leaders from each Arch-Deaconry were given a number of them by Mama Bishop (who is the head of the Mother's Union) and asked to distribute them among the women in their parishes.  See pictures here.

Book and Toy Drive for Hospice House

We are currently collecting toys and books for a playroom at the Doug and Lucy Bowers Hospice House of Southern West Virginia. Items needed for the room are books for small- to pre-teen children, matchbox-type cars, puzzles and board games, and coloring books and crayons. The playroom will officially open on March 17, so please bring your donated items before then.  Let us help create a stress-free environment for children who must visit the hospice house.

Register Now for Summer Camp

Father Eric will be leading Family Camp at Peterkin from July 11-17. Open to families of all types, Family Camp offers a relaxing vacation in a caring Christian environment. Families are free to spend time together as they see fit and are invited to take advantage of the beautiful wooded surroundings and local area attractions. Bible discussions, worship services, and ‘inter-generational’ group activities promote spiritual growth for every family member; outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and story time promote relaxation and fun for all ages. Family Camp brings families closer to God and each other. For more information on Peterkin, visit peterkin.org.
